2nd Attempt: Day 74: Still doing small kms to help foot. Tuesday 8th June 2010, 46.5km, Steps 53673. (6/8/2010)

We woke to rain wind and a very cold morning and as D has a general rule not to go out in the dark during a rain storm we all rolled over and went back to sleep and woke when the sun was fully up. As we were leaving we said our goodbyes to the crew at Fraser Range and once again thank them for their wonderful hospitality and set off down the road.  The weather still wasn’t great but as the day wore on the skies cleared and the temperature headed in a positive direction i.e. up.
As D was still under doctors instruction to keep the kilometres low and the pace slow we plodded on. At lunchtime we pulled in for lunch at the Fraser Range Parking Bay situated on a beautiful semi dry rust red sandy lake surrounded by Salmon Gums and reflecting the sky above. We meet some English travellers there who were very interested in our story and wanted photos etc. As we were running away we heard a car horn and a lady jump out of her 4WD as she had heard about us and wanted to give a donation. Everyday I am amazed at the number of people who are following our journey or who have heard about our story and want to give to our cause it really touches my doggy heart.
After lunch D headed for today’s goal the Norseman 60 km sign so it was a good solid run and we  got in at dusk to our bush camp on the side of the road in a road water run off drain.
Running with you soon.
