Tired, grumpy but still loved. Day 185, 51.4km  (4/27/2009)

Both D and I were feeling a little tired after our long and hard hill run yesterday into The Isa, as the locals call it, so we decided to have a little sleep in this morning. Wow! (Said very sarcastically) Instead of getting up at 4.30am we got up at 6am!  I grumbled to D as she woke me stating that a sleep in to me is getting off my soft blankly around 10am.   Again that dream on Maggie smile crossed her face; I further grumbled that that was what I wanted to do this morning dream a little more! To get me out of my grumpy morning mood D took me to Macca’s for breakfast. As I woofed down my breakfast she kindly suggested that I savour the flavour as the next Big M shop is some 1606 kilometres away in Darwin. This statement didn’t improve my mood much and I gave her a bit of a bark back. As D and I had done a couple of high k days with a lot of hill running she decided to drop back a bit today and do less kilometres in the hope of having a bit more time off the road. As I really wasn’t in such a good mood and quite tired myself D suggest that I take the rest of the day off and sleep in the car, I didn’t need to be asked twice, I happy hopped onto my blankly in the car and dreamed the day away whilst D ran on alone. When I finally woke up it was getting dark and D was just running into camped a gravel pit on Gunpowder Road. As she was also tired from so many days of high kilometres and some hill runs she had taken a lot longer today to achieve fewer kilometres, I felt a little guilty about my behaviour this morning so I went up to D and gave her a apologising lick, as usually she gave me a huge hug ask if I was feeling better and said “I love you Maggie” she always forgives me that’s why I love her too.
