Ravens with shoes and a hot soak. Day 164, 40.8km  (4/6/2009)

Today was another start in the dark and once again we were in a heavy mist, we ran onto Misty Mountain very ably named, I thought. At Misty there were wind generating and in the mist and the half light these generators took on a life of their own, they could be triffids. As the mist cleared D and I ran on into Ravenshoe for breakfast, Ravenshoe?! I didn’t think that Ravens wore shoes, and why only one? Ravens wearing shoes, what will they think of next? Eh!  D and I headed out of Ravenshoe towards Innot Springs, as we were running along we came across a creek called Running Creek. It didn’t have any water in it, so how could it be running? I suppose it’s a bit like D and I if don’t have any water in us we can’t run either. We got to Innot Springs a special place that has natural heated thermal water, D had a good soak in the springs which helped ease her journey weary legs unfortunately we had to cut her soaking time short as we need to drive back to Ravenshoe as the people at the Foodworks were doing a fundraiser for us. By the time we got back from Ravenshoe to Innot Springs it was time for nana land.

Running with you soon
