Mornings make my heart sing. Day 157, 49.9km (3/30/2009)

We took off early in the dark again this morning with D looking light a Xmas Tree covered in flashing lights for her safety. A thought that a passing motorist may think they’d seen a Martian with the way D was blinking and flashing.  It was a beautiful morning for running this morning with the mist set in the valley, silhouetted against a back dropped of grey mountains, and then the sun began its hues of orange morning display. It’s time like this that I really love what we are doing, dawn is always my favourite part of the day it makes me glad to be alive and a very happy dog. The day was spent running in rainforest areas which provided us with some cool shadows from the trees and gave us some relief from the heat but unfortunately no relief from the endless humidity. I think D and I are just so sick of always being wet with sweat you just wouldn’t believe the rashes I have in my paws! We ran onto Innisfail where we were welcome by the Mayor and off to the caravan park for VIP’s and milk and a splash in the pool together.

Running with you soon
