Walls of green, a chick and spider country. Day 140, 54.1km  (3/13/2009)

Lovely morning this morning, it was cool and overcast, just like Tassie mornings and for a little moment I felt very home sick. However the weather was good for running, running, running and panting, panting, panting, hour after hour after hour, it’s just another day, day, day on the road. Currently we are running through cane field territory, these tall green grass walls seem to be endless and this afternoon as I was running along I nearly nodded off from the monotonous scenery when all of a sudden I saw a brolga on the side of the road but even better she had a chick with her what a special moment. We trotted along further and came to a place called Spider Creek, I looked down from the bridge and saw a web or ten and decided that this wasn’t the time to go for a dip in this creek. I felt a lot better once we were across this bridge; spiders are just not my thing. We ran on to Ilbilbie where we decided to stay the night behind the Caltex service station, D even managed to sneak a shower in the truckies shower room so she’s a happy girl. I’m a happy dog as I have had my Vippie’s and milk so it’s off to bed so I can run, run, run again tomorrow.

Running with you soon
