Just another way too hot day on the road. Day 131, 33.6km  (3/4/2009)

We pulled out of camp around 6.00am and headed away from Gladstone along the road that will return us to the Bruce Hwy. D was singing that song “On the road again...” she does that to me on purpose as she knows I’ll now be humming along to Willie Nelson all day! At our morning tea stop we meet these 2 chaps from Finland who were cycling around Australia, they were nice guys but I really couldn’t be bothered with them because from where I stood they were cheating, doing it on a bike really how easy is that! D had a radio interview with 4CC the local Gladstone radio station which also supports the runners club, I heard her mention my name so I was happy. As D had a big day yesterday and today was a scorcher of a day with the temperature up to 42 degrees she set today’s target for Mt Larcom, a small town back on the Bruce highway which had a dog friendly caravan park. As it was way too hot for this black dog I decided to spend most of the day in the air conditioned car, I must have dozed off watching D plodded through the heat as when I woke we were already in camp and D was showered, massaged and dinner was ready. I think I might eat and go back to sleep as I am quite tired from yesterday too.

Until we are “On the Road again....”
