Big k´s and a treat at the end of a long day. Day 128, 60.9km  (3/1/2009)

It was before dawn when D and I left our night camp to start running this morning, as D wanted to make it to the next designated roadside stop by this evening some 61kms away. I only ran with D until the breakfast stop, for when D sets a target set in her stubborn head, she’s no fun, its head down, concentrate, set a pace and go. Unfortunately it’s quite hot today so I thought it best to stay in my cool zone anyway. By the time I ran out at the Granite Creek roadside stop to welcome D in for the night there was a crescent moon and an evening star in the sky. We had a nice cold one and D’s mum had done a lamb roast for dinner. The roast had a big bone in the middle of it and when I say it I noticed it had a big M written on it. What was I to think? Could it be for me? I think this is what D means by striving for your dreams, to have a good run followed by roast lamb bone, what more could this dog ask for?

Running with you soon
