Special people and more special people. Day 126, 56.6km  (2/27/2009)

As D and I were running out of Childers this morning Andy from the Professionals in Childers joined us on the road until our breakfast site. Along the way to breakfast I saw a kangaroo family having breakfast on the side of the road. I thought to myself “let them eat grass” I’ll keep the cake for myself. Andy stayed with us as we had our breakfast and then Jack turned up with all these goodies for D. What wonderful people the team at Professional Real Estate, Childers are, so generous and good hearted, I could tell because they loved me and Jack had a very lovely dog that I played with for a while. We said our goodbyes, again and headed towards Bundaberg as we were approaching the city limits we were met by Trevor and Stuart from he local Bundaberg Road Runners Club who had come out on the road to run in with D and me. As they were running D found out that Stuart and his son will be running from Bundy to Brisbane in November 09 for Prostate Cancer, as Stuart is a survivor. We both gave Stuart many tips about running the longer distances and fundraising and we wish them all the success on their run and hope everyone will get behind them. As I was listening to D, Trevor and Stuart I thought how lucky we are to be meeting another group of special people in the same day, D and I have truly been blessed with lots of wonderful people around us today it really inspires us to keep going when we meet other kindred souls. By the time D and I had fulfilled our meeting with the mayor and ran another 5kms to the caravan park I was very tired and I was very pleased when D opened up my new bag of VIP Petfood, it’s called VIP Max it’s real working dog food and I am definitely a working dog, I’m working hard to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I will say the new dog food was a taste sensation! But now I think I will take D’s advice and go to bed and follow my dreams.

Running with you soon
