Moving Bridge. Day 108, 44.6km  (2/9/2009)

D and I left the Jacaranda tree lined town of Grafton and headed off towards Lawrence, it was a beautiful misty morning and as the sun rose the dew glistened in the grass. The mist covered the spider webs making them look like woven silk on the fences as they caught the early morning light. As the morning progressed the mist dissolved and another clear day unfolded and following the river we could see lots of fishing boats. When D stopped for coffee I managed to crawl under my pink house to catch the river breeze, it was a relief to be out of the sun and D gave me a cool drink of water to cool my tongue. After coffee we had to cross a river, luckily there was a little moving bridge that went back and forth across the river. It was great fun to ride on! Over the river we proceeded along the river’s edge again towards Maclean where I saw the oddest thing, brown cows whose best friends were white birds now that’s an odd combination of friends, don’t you think? Finally I got D to the Maclean Caravan Park and it was time for me to knock off and look after myself for a change. Phew what a day, I’m a bit giddy after that moving bridge and the heat of the day but nothing a good night’s sleep can’t fix.

Goodnight all.
