An evening drenching. Day 79, 42.3kms  (1/11/2009)

Today for the first time in a long time we didn’t have any official appointment so D spent the day doing longer walking breaks to her running routine in the hope of resting her leg which doesn’t seem to be improving much. Even though D and I had no official appointments word had spread that we were in the Oberon district and by the time we reached Black Springs for lunch a small crowd of people were there to greet us as we came in. This was a nice surprise and we were very grateful for the impromptu greeting, thank you all especially considering some of you had be waiting for about 2 hours. After a long ploddy day we had about 4 kilometres to go until we could rest for the day when a humongous storm hit and we were both soaked to the bone within seconds. When we finally made in to the caravan convoy all soggy and tired the rain stopped as quick as it had started and a beautiful sunset adorned the vista before us. Nature deliveries it’s grand self in all her magnificent forms.

Running with you soon.
Maggie – Director of Greeting D.O.G
