A dragon, a friend or two and yum cha on the road, Day 37, 41.7kms,  (11/30/2008)

A dragon greeted us as we run into Sorell today; it actually was a purple dragon and the first dragon I have even met, as far as dragons go it was friendly and as it didn’t breathe fire on me I have decided that I like dragons.  The dragon was made by a very enthusiastic person called Miriam and her family who organized for the dragon to help raise funds for our cause and it raised $100. The dragon wasn’t our only visit today, Cheapa dropped in when we were at the Copping Museum (about 20kms from Sorell) where Helena, the wonderful lady who fundraised in the rain near Port Arthur works. Helena was still fundraising for us and added an extra $66 towards to our cause when we arrived at the museum. After a quick coffee and cake for the adults and a puppycino for me, photos were taken with Cheepa, Helena and me and with a promised from Helena to continue adding to our fundraising tally during the year we were off and running again. People just kept visiting us today as at Sorell our Cadbury loving friend Kathra, drop in for a visit which was a great surprise as we had only seen Kathra at Eastands last Wednesday so it was great to see her again. Kathra always visits baring gifts of Cadburys or homemade goodies and her wonderful sense of humour is on par with my D’s. Visit’s from Kathra leaves my D smiling and laughing so I am always happy to see Kathra. After all the visits, talking, photo’s, dragons and official stuff at Sorell, Deborah and I run on for about 10 kms before we decided to call it a day. Whilst camping on the side of the road we had a visit from Miriam (the dragon lady) who came with yum cha and champagne for the team what a surprise!  I feel that we had an eventful and blessed day and both of us would like to say thank you, thank you, thank you to all our fundraising and supportive angels.

Running with you soon
