Pink Ribbon Day today! Day 3: 37.1kms (10/27/2008)

Today is Pink Ribbon Day and we ask all to give generously as this is a special day when we remember the people we have lost, the ones who have survived and the ones who are still on their breast cancer journey. There have been a few tears today as many women have stop to talk to us on the side of the road about their breast cancer stories. It always amazes me the strength of these women and I am proud to be able to put my best paws forward to help and represent these fantastic women especially my D who keeps travelling slowly forward as she battles the flu but I have seen her toughest before through her fight with breast cancer and I know that the common cold will never stop her. You go girl, Girl power rules!

I just want to acknowledge another Tasmanian ultra marathon person, Vlastik from Burnie, as today he finished his trek across Australia for Canteen. Deborah and I run with Vlastik around Tasmania last year for Camp Quality, seven weeks after D’s, BC treatment, so we know his strength of character and also knew he would make it. Well done Vlastik and congratulations on your Mercury Pride of Australia Medal.
Running with you soon.
Maggie (Director of Greeting D.O.G.)
